Yes, your marriage will be legally binding in your home country and home state. Your personal wedding planner will help you organize and complete all required documents. For name change procedures, inquire with your local government. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the Wedding Team. Do you organize elopements? If you’re dreaming of an intimate elopement, Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts offers an all-inclusive elopement package curated for a romantic stress- free escape. Beyond accommodations and decor, your wedding costs will be determined by the events and services hosted in our resort wedding venues, as well as the number of guests included in the celebrations. Our wedding packages are curated experiences that cater to various wedding styles and wedding sizes. PREPARATIONS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL How soon after I book a wedding can I start planning? After you have confirmed your wedding date, our Wedding Team will schedule an appointment for you to have a call with your Wedding Planner within 2-4 weeks, at a convenient time for you and your fiancé. What is a required arrival window? The required arrival window refers to the minimum amount of time a couple must stay on the island before their wedding ceremony can take place. This required stay allows enough time for any needed document verification, a pre-wedding consultation, and the completion of all necessary wedding preparations. How do I test-drive my wedding? Can’t decide which Sandals or Beaches resort is right for your big day? Come see for yourself with a Wedding Test Drive and stay up to three nights at the resort of your choice at a special rate. During your stay, you can explore destination wedding venues, and meet with the resort wedding team and photography team. How do we pay the Marriage License & Administrative Fee? The Marriage License and Administrative Fee will be collected by the Wedding Concierge who will send you an invoice. A non-refundable $250 deposit will be due at the time of booking, 50% of the invoice balance due 120 days prior to arrival, and the total balance due 60 days prior to your arrival. These fees are in USD and vary by island. All fees can be found in the pricing list section. What are your payment and cancellation policies? Your final payment is due 60 days prior to arrival and any items purchased within 60 days of arrival are subject to availability. If you wish to cancel your travel plans and be eligible for a full refund, you must confirm your cancellations at least forty-five (45) days prior to arrival. Select items are non-refundable, including but not limited to, certain deposits, administrative fees, and custom items from external event suppliers. Floral purchases are also non-refundable and non- transferable if canceled within 45 days of arrival. Cancellations made 44-31 days prior to arrival will receive 50% refund, except for non-refundable items listed above. Cancellations made 30 days or less prior to arrival are non-refundable. Are medical or blood tests required to get married? No, the islands of Jamaica, Antigua, Bahamas, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Barbados, Curaçao, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, and do not require a medical or blood test to be performed. 25 WEDDING FAQs
